Hey,
So I just logged on this morning, and when on my page everything was completely normal, oldschool DA. Then....then I check the messages, and it all goes BLARG!!! What happened? I understand how DA should get a slight facelift every now and then to keep up with the times, but this is too much at once. I mean, we got an update last year which I really liked, but this one is just making my brain go "How do i find the messages in all of this x.x *dies*"
I now have to navigate through OTHER peoples comments on OTHER things such as news posts and such, before getting to what I'm looking for and that's not really cool x.x

Oh DA, what has become of you, you're beginning to turn into Micheal Jackson. Deranged and unrecognizable beyond all belief x.x

WE finally graduated!

I meant to post this up 2 weeks ago, but we finally graduated high school here :D By we I mean :iconcolor-my-love::iconredwerecat::icondm-knuxlight: (i can't remember Kats DA name atm x.x) We all made it through, and it may sound easy enough when it comes to NORMAL graduation, but ours was far from normal.
We had a heat wave roll through the Mid-Atlantic in the beginning of that week, and our graduation was that Saturday morning, schedualed on the hottest day of the week. Well, we were all in 2-3 layers of clothing with our gowns included, and the choir (which I'm in) had to go out first by half an hour, and sing. Well the humidity was extremely high, it was already 89 degrees outside, so by the time the seniors from choir came back inside of the building to join their lines, everyone began to ask us if it was hot, and all we could do, was raise our heads, drenched in sweat and say "what do YOU think?"

We all then had to march back outside and march to the field for the ceremony, which wasn't so bad, but it was having to sit still for 2 hours as it got hotter and hotter that really got us. Teachers were previously passing cups of water to every student, but gave up and got every student a bottle of water (thats like over 300 bottles there), before getting anything for themselves. Then during the principals speech, the stage began to buckle because of the heat, so they had to move it directly onto the field for awhile. But we had to receive our diplomas on the stage. There was one administrator though, whom we had to shake hands with at the end of the walk, whom i thought didn't like me, but instead said that she was very proud of me and how far i'd come and how much I'd done in the art department and gave me a huge hug <3
So yeah, over all, 1 person passed out, multiple students were over heated, and the crowd errupted in applause when the last students name was called (for obvious reasons)
But now it's 2 weeks after graduation, and I'm really BORED! No one will hire me, I'm cleaning house, and I'm starting to get back into the art mood again (finally) So expect more updates than I have been posting on here, I've got time again :)

Talk to you all soon,
DM
PS, I've been in the paper twice now for an art scholarship i won in may, I feel so happy :D

Hey guys, again sorry for not being around, a lot of stuff has been going on. As you know, I got into PRATT and I set off to find the money to get there...well I failed unfortunately, so I guess I'm sticking it out for a year at shepherd and transferring. I literally tried everything, even almost working at the school so I would go for free. Problem though, I'm still 17 and that wouldn't work :/ Hopefully someone will take a chance on me next year, but who knows right?

I've been doing massive amounts of art lately, just ask :iconcolor-my-love: Literally cranking stuff out like no tomorrow. We have a big show tomorrow where we're going to be selling prints for the first time, so hopefully the public response will be good.

I'll post pics when I get them.

I'll update soon. Need to go and make prints for tomorrow. I have a waiting list :D

I got into PRATT!!!!

Yes, for those who celebrate it (like me) happy easter! The day where the jolly ol' bunny comes and hides eggs filled with candy or spare change, for young children to later find around the house and/or backyard. Though some people use real eggs, and don't find them until a week later after smelling them rotting behind a couch...eew.

Easters of the past have been good and not so good for me to be honest. I remember when I was six, ooooh that was an interesting on. Went on an easter egg hunt the day before easter, and won a white chocolate rabbit and ate half of it but threw the rest away because it tasted funny. Woke up easter morning so weak I couldn't even move to roll out of the bed and had to be carried down stairs to see what the easter bunny brought....ugh.. food poisoning sucks on a holiday.

But easter is meant to be a good time. A time where family and friends gather together, and eat after church after celebrating the fact that the lord rose again. I know some of you may not believe this, but I do, so please don't belittle my beliefs, thanks :)

Sooooo yeah, find those eggs before their stanky but generous aroma finds you :)

Anywho, anyone have a funny easter story to tell about a memorable easter? Nothing to do at the moment and need a good laugh.
